Our Drilling segment is one of the leading global suppliers of integrated drilling systems for onshore and offshore applications. We are inventing the products and solutions for our customers that include shipyards, drilling contractors, exploration and production companies and rental tool companies. Equipment we design and manufacture include blow-out preventers (BOPs), control systems, drilling risers and valves, manifolds and other rig products, parts and services. Because of an increased focus on safety and tighter regulation, Drilling has seen an increase in customers wanting to re- certify BOP stacks or to replace aging equipment.

Job Summary

Assembles machines, equipment, and their subassembliesfollowing blueprints and other written and verbal specifications.

  1. Assemble components of all product lines. Selects correct tools and fixtures.

  2. Tests all assembled products. Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the assembly and testing of products.

  3. Ability in blueprint reading, component identification, use of pertinent hand tools and rework techniques, equipment operation, dimensioning and setting tolerances of mechanical parts and assemblies.

  4. Create labor records for all transactions.

  5. Making repairs to customer property including valves, wellheads, spools, chokes, actuators, and other surface wellhead equipment as required.

  6. Assembling and breaking down of new or used equipment.

  7. Inspecting, repairing, testing equipment.

  8. Reading and interpreting blue prints and drawings.

  9. Executing general shop maintenance: storage, shop and equipment clean-up, shipping/receiving.

  10. Responsible for the safety of self and others including reporting of all work-related injuries, near misses, equipment damage and unsafe acts as soon as practicable to supervisor or senior technician.

  11. Tear down and troubleshooting of customer owned property for inspection, repair, reassembly and testing based on customer communications.

  12. Assembling, testing and painting of new or used wellhead/tree sections.

  13. Field Service work as needed based on work.

Minimum Job Qualifications

· High School Diploma orequivalent.

· 2+ years’ experienceworking with assembly related operations or equivalent.
